After a few years of public accounting, I’ve decided this gig isn’t for me. Not just auditing, however, but accounting in general.
I do genuinely enjoy business, and would like to leverage my accounting and business background into a different type of role. I realize I don’t have the experience/education to get a position for MBAs, but I’m curious what other people have seen. Have you seen an accountant successfully transfer out of the accounting industry and what type of position was it?
For a little context:
-Senior at national firm, BA and MA accounting.
