Here Are Some of the Worst Accounting-Related Passwords Hacked From LinkedIn

Did anyone hear about that whole LinkedIn password breach thing? Hopefully all of you have changed your LinkedIn passwords just to be safe but if not, there's a handy tool that will tell you if your password was among the 6.5 million leaked ones. Just a reminder: change your password before checking it. You're welcome.

Anyway, just for kicks I decided to play with the tool and see if anyone was stupid enough to use common words like, oh, "accounting" as their password. What I discovered was disturbing to say the least. If any of you actually use any of these as your password, A) you're banned from life and B) GO CHANGE IT, NOW.

Now, just to be sure, I checked one very important potential password and am happy to report if any of you are currently using it, it wasn't among the stolen ones.

Whew, thank goodness.

Be safe out there in the big scary Internets, folks.
