BKD and Wolf: Let’s Talk About Life After Merger

This is the perfect Monday morning question for the peanut gallery:

I wanted to forward this to the Going Concern group:
http://www.chicagobusiness.com/article/20140929/NEWS01/140929836/chicago-area-accounting-firm-to-be-acquired

This may be an open items question, but I'm sitting on the acquired side. I'd be curious to hear from others who have been part of an acquired firm, and I'm wondering how long to stick it out. Also, I haven't seen great reviews of BKD and would like to know from people who have worked for BKD what they thought of the comp, benefits, perks, etc.

Thank you!

This might also be a good time for those of you who have survived mergers of any size to vent, er, give this person some pointers.
