Job Description:
Remote Tax Manager needed at a modern accounting firm to deliver advisory and tax services with a concierge-level service. Fully paperless, best-of-breed technology, no time tracking.
Job Overview:
Remote Tax Manager will lead tax engagements and serve as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients. Work with a range of clients, including rapidly growing businesses, successful entrepreneurs, and family offices, communicating regularly to ensure they are taken care of and positioned for financial success.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to a growing client base
- Managing the preparation and delivery of quarterly tax projections and ad hoc client requests
- Facilitating and managing the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and the accurate, timely submission of all tax filings
- Finding and implementing opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures
- Delighting our customers with expert guidance and support
- Available to work between the normal business day (ex. 9am to 5pm) to be responsive to client requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Tax
- CPA or CPA candidate
- 6+ years (minimum) working in public accounting
- Experience working in a client-facing role, communicating with business leaders via email, phone, and video calls
- Tech-forward; ability to learn new software and comfortable using technology in general
- Independent worker
- Ability to coach and train associates
Nice to haves:
- Experience using CCH Axcess
- Experience using SafeSend Suite
- Prior experience working with small to medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, family offices, and individual owners
