Big 4 Senior Curious about Technology Industry

As the headline indicates, I'm a senior that's thinking of venturing into a new industry practice (currently in FS). I'm curious about tech–mostly, to be quite honest, because that seems like the type of workplace I'd like to end up after I leave public accounting (which is pretty much inevitable after, hopefully, I end up making it to manager).

I know a little bit about the primary accounting issues–capitalzation of internally developed software, revenue recognition from multiple arrangement contracts, etc. Here's what I'd like to know:

-Are the technical issues boring or somewhat interesting (I guess that's subjective, but I personally find a lot of asset management stuff fairly boring)

-How demanding are clients and are there a disproportionate amount of nightmare clients (i.e smaller clients with terrible record keeping?) FS clients can be total dicks.

-What is the dominant Big 4 Firm?

-What cities have the biggest practices (outside of California, of course–but what about New York, Chicago, Seattle, Boston?)

-Have you seen staff from different practices transition to tech and how did it go?

Thanks for your help!
