Transfer into Tax

I am currently at a B4 in their internal services department.  I am halfway through the CPA exam and should be done in the next few months.  My hope is to transfer to Tax once I have my CPA, and I’d prefer to stay with my current firm.  I have talked to a few recruiters and they have told me that this does not happen often.  I’m currently in a senior position making 75k, but am willing to go back to staff because I know I can move up fast.  I’m wondering if anyone can tell me which is the best option: 1) continue to pursue transfer into the Tax department within my current firm  2) go to a smaller firm or possibly another B4  3) go back to school and get a MAcc or MBA and go through the recruiting process  4) give up altogether because this is starting to look impossible.
