I was promoted to senior this past year in audit at a mid tier firm in the Northeast. Recently, I have interviewed a few places in TAS, including other mid tier firms, but my only offer now is at larger consulting company outside of public accounting (think Navigant). As my hope is to stay in TAS for the long term, with a chance of moving to B school or a smaller PE firm, my thoughts were that I need to go Big 4 within a year or two. Which is more likely to garner consideration at Big 4 TAS at the senior level – An audit senior staying for one busy season, or a consultant getting into TAS now at a consulting firm?
