I am a BBA undergrad student working in industry as a receivables clerk. I currently make 70k a year and am quite happy with that considering my role and responsibilities. I know there is room for advancement within this company once I finish my BBA in accounting and I will also persue my CPA designation. I am torn if I should leave my industry job, given the salary, for a public acconting firm to gain more experience. I am not sure what my career path will be in the long run but I am interested in Audit, however, I wouldn't get that experience from the company I am currently with. Would it be in my benefit, career and future earnings wise in the long, run to work for a public accounting firm, whether it be Big4 or other?
