How to interview

I am looking for suggestions on how to manage interviews for a new job while being scheduled to be at a client. I am tax senior in a mid-size DC/MD public firm and want to assess my options towards moving to a larger (probably not big 4) public accounting firm around NoVa but I've been scheduled to do EBP audits at clients for the next three weeks. I obviously can't request PTO and even if I did I am sure they would look at me like I was slow and deny my request. I am sure many of you have run into the same situation at different parts of your career (especially auditors). Any suggestions on how to handle this issue?

Thanks in advance.
