Hiring Watch ’19: Working at EY In Louisville Could Be NEAT

Add Louisville, KY, to the list of cities where EY is hiring en masse.

Louisville Business First reported on Sept. 6:

Ernst & Young LLP is making another investment in Louisville after spending $4.3 million to open its National Executive Assistant Team facility downtown early last year.

The company said in a news release Friday that it’s expanding its operations at the 400 West Market tower to 30,000 square feet and will add more than 60 employees to the office as part of the expansion. That’s in addition to the 125 hires already committed there by EY.

EY, an international accounting and business services firm, has signed a lease for additional space on the 11th floor of 400 West Market to go with the existing office. The buildout of that space is slated to be finished by March 2020, the release said.

So the NEAT center is expanding, which I’m sure is great for EY and Louisville, but may still not be so great for EY’s current and future occupants. One NEAT person said on Glassdoor:

“Not allowed to travel, separated from other departments.”

And then there’s this review on Indeed:

“Loads of training. Practice scenarios would prefer more hands on. I felt more @ entry level w/ this position and because of the high demands for the work load needed more time and I feel some adjustments could’ve been made to timing.”

But hey, they’ve got a gazillion photos of Muhammad Ali all over the walls to inspire you, so there’s that.

So if you live in the Louisville area and black and yellow are two of your favorite colors, you could get a job working for the third-largest accounting firm in the U.S.

NEAT-o.
