Congratulations Certain East Coast CPA Exam Procrastinators, You’re Off the Hook!

If your test center is not listed or you are unsure if you should still take your exam, shoot Prometric an email while you still have Internet. Your safety is way more important than the CPA exam so if you are concerned you will not be able to make it to the test center or feel it will be unsafe to do so, reschedule now and stay home.

If anyone does decide to brave the storm to hit a test center that hasn't been closed, check in with us and let us know you're OK.

We've already heard from a few of you that this bitch Sandy has completely ruined your life so this might be a good time to remind everyone to stay calm and be patient. Or maybe just this guy needs that reminder:

The incompetent folks at Prometric really dropped the ball on the CPA exams that were supposed to happen this Monday and Tuesday. We get it, there's a hurricane. But they also knew that was going to happen on friday and saturday. How did they prepare? They clearly didn't.

Do NOT bother calling the poor folks working right now. You will wait for two hours. And then be told that they cannot do anything for you. Wait until the end of the week until you are contacted by someone from Prometric… if that is, those competent folks do not drop the ball on that too.

Who's running this place? OCCUPY PROMETRICS!

Mmmkay, have a Xanax and settle down. We understand that you are frustrated but this storm is a pretty big deal, we're sure the fine folks at Prometric are doing the best they can right now and you are but one of bazillions of test takers blowing up their phone at the moment. You don't see the nail techs and nurses freaking out like this, do you?

For those of you remaining calm and patient, do NOT take this person's advice. Cover your own ass by emailing Prometric to reschedule your exam if you have to, that way if they don't get back to you until the end of the week and try to call you a no show, you can forward your nice time-stamped email and say "but aha! I emailed you and you never wrote me back." And then go have a drink or five, it'll all be OK.

Stay safe out there, kids!
