Career Advice in Industry

Hello,

So I started my career in internal audit right out of school and I am now a senior with 2.5 years experience. I have thrived in my group thus far, earning great ratings and reviews. However, the fortune 50 company I work for is implementing strict expense and hiring policies due to low earnings. Although I have a great work life balance, I am afraid I will be stuck as a senior for several years due to these extreme policies. Thus, I am interested in what my next move should be. I know I do not have the public accounting experience which may limit my opportunities but I am exploring senior level accounting and financial reporting roles.

I guess I would really like to your opinions on whether I should stay and wait it out or look elsewhere. I am a CPA if that impacts your opinion.

Thanks.
