I recently started on a diet and my consultant asked me a thought-proving question about two weeks into it, "What inspires you?" The only thing that immediately came to mind was "Getting to my goal weight so I can get off this fucking diet." This also got me thinking about my accounting career. Not much really inspires me anymore, and to be honest, I can't remember the last time I was inspired by my job or the accounting profession. And when there was a time when I was inspired, I can't remember what it was that inspired me.
So my question to you is: What inspires you about accounting? Is it really just about making enough money to pay your mortgage and provide financial stability? Or is there something I'm missing?
