There’s a New Boss at Moss

Ever since grade school, I've never cared for that shade of background.Well, technically you'll have to wait until 2013, but, barring any unforeseen events, Chris Schmidt will be the next Chairman and CEO of Moss Adams and he's legit excited about it. "I'm honored and excited to have the opportunity to help lead Moss Adams forward into its second century," Schmidt said. "I hope to continue to build on the firm's strong industry leadership and commitment to premier client service as we seek new opportunities for growth." See? He's busting.

Schmidty has been COO and President of the firm since 2004, second only to Rick Anderson who is moving on to chair Praxity, the firm's international accounting firm alliance thingee. MA's new COO and President will be Dick Fohn who will presumably ascend to CEO/Chairman in 2020. It seems to be the natural order of things. Congrats all around.
