I wasn't looking to switch firms when I got a call from a friend of mine who had passed my name on to one of their recruiters, and asked if I would hear them out. I talked to recruiter, and then met with a couple of the partners over the weekend. They have extended me a pretty good offer. The increase in pay is sizable, and I feel like the firm is a good fit. I'm thinking about taking it, but I don't want to leave my current firm in bad shape. I also feel a sense of loyality to them. They gave me my start, and really like the people I work with. I currently work for a national firm, and would be switching to a large regional firm. I don't think that is a key point but wanted to throw out all the pertinant advice. I appreciate some sound non trolling advice.
