I am a JD who recently returned to complete an MS in Accounting and Taxation. I am looking for a role in Tax but I am having difficulties getting my foot in the door. My job search so far has been focused on tax positions at Big 4 and regional firms. I am interested in small CPA firms as well. Should I be open to opportunities in Assurance, where there may be less competition, just to get in? All pieces of advice are very appreciated. Thanks.
