Duration: 3+ months
Location: Remote (may require a couple trips to client; all expenses paid)
Rate: $65 – $85 (depends on existing ASC 606 experience)
Required experience: 4+ years’ public accounting experience; significant revenue recognition experience
The Role:
Beech Valley is seeking a senior associate or manager level consultant to assist on a 606 implementation for a $500mm healthcare solutions company.
An initial 606 accounting policy and contract review checklist has been developed.
Our consultant will be in-charge of the following:
- Reviewing contracts to ensure assumptions within the accounting policy are correct;
- Apply conclusions to multiple contract types;
- Help create contract calculation templates;
- Compare revenue from 606 methodology to existing revenue recognized under 08-1 and 97-2;
- Liaise with the audit team.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 4+ years public accounting experience in audit
- Proficiency in US GAAP and revenue recognition principles (existing or new guidance – ASC 605 and/or ASC 606)
- Ability to act as in-charge on client engagements
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to client site on a limited basis
