Robot sitting on books

Are you one of the thousands of accounting professionals laid off in the last couple years and looking for a gig? Or maybe you’re thinking about making a jump but would like a little income cushion while you hunt for that industry job. Are you interested in AI and want to put your experience to work making it better? Accountingfly has a 3-month contract position that might be up your alley.

The requirements are simple but non-negotiable: you live in the US, are available for 30-40 hours per week for the full 12-week engagement, have 7 or more years of accounting or tax experience, can read and carefully follow instructions, have general understanding of LLMs, can work independently, and are able to take feedback without spiraling into a lengthy LinkedIn post about it. Oh, and CPA or EA is preferred but not required.

Compensation is $75 to $125 per hour. This is a fully remote, contract position (1099) with the possibility for more work after the 12-week period if you’re doing well and having fun reviewing and annotating.

If your interest has been piqued, follow these steps:

  1. Apply here
  2. If you qualify, you’ll be invited to take a paid assessment. The assessment takes 3–4 hours, you’ll be paid $240 for your time no matter what.

So, basically, you can get paid to find out whether you’re qualified to get paid even more. Look, AI is coming whether we like it or not, at least this way you can get paid for improving it.
