Former Deloitte CEO Will Squeeze in Pfizer Board Meetings in Addition to All That Public Service

Former Deloitte CEO Joe Echevarria will join Pfizer's board of directors effective immediately, according to a company press release. That's a decent gig!

The release also mentions that Joe E is on the board of Bank of New York Mellon. He landed that back in February and serves on the audit committee. Presumably, he'll serve on Pfizer's audit committee as well.

When he retired, Joe did say he was planning "to pursue my passion for public service," so you have to wonder if two seats on junk drawer committees will get in the way of his work with the President’s Export Council, the Presidential Commission on Election Administration, the President’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and the University of Miami.

I just can't fathom going to all those meetings. But I'm sure Joe will be fine. It sure beats squabbling with real estate brokers
