F-Squared Investments Received Wells Notice From SEC Wellesley, Mass.,-based F-Squared said in a filing submitted to regulators last week that it received a so-called "Wells Notice," a formal notification that the Securities and Exchange Commission is considering a case against a company, in the middle of last month. The notice isn't a formal allegation of wrongdoing and gives the company a chance to respond. "F-Squared has been cooperating with the staff in its investigation," F-Squared said in filing. "F-Squared intends to respond to the Wells notice and to continue to cooperate." [WSJ]
