Deloitte Defends Partner Retirement Policy A Deloitte official defended the firm’s mandatory retirement requirements for partners in a congressional hearing Wednesday. Testifying before the House Subcommittee on Workforce Protections, Deloitte general counsel William Lloyd discussed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s recent move to penalize the firm for requiring its partners to retire at the age of 62 in accordance with the terms of their partnership agreement.
