Deloitte Poaches Someone From EY and Issues a Press Release, Part III

Nicola Wright

Across the pond, Deloitte recently announced that it had promoted 79 Green Dotters to partner, an increase of 18% over last year. Of those new partners, 24 are women. Unfortunately, Deloitte U.K. didn’t release the names of its new chosen ones, but presumably Nicola Wright’s name would have been on that list.

Wright got her keys to the partnership (and maybe a gray Deloitte t-shirt?) at the beginning of this month after spending nearly three years as an associate partner at EY. She was one of three new partners and 11 directors who recently were promoted at Deloitte’s office in Leeds.

Insider Media reported:

Nicola Wright joined as a partner in public sector audit and assurance from EY. She specialises in providing audit services to public bodies, and has extensive experience working with the NHS, local government, education, social housing and charities.

Wright leads the public sector audit team in the North.

This isn’t the first time Insider Media has reported on Wright switching Big 4 firms. Back in early October 2015, IM wrote:

EY has made two senior appointments and two promotions as the professional services firm continues to grow its North East team.

Nicola Wright has joined the company’s government and public sector (GPS) assurance practice as an executive director having spent 18 years with PwC. She has experience leading audits for organisations in the health, housing and education sectors.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Wright joined PwC in 1997 and worked there until joining EY in September 2015. She became an associate partner at EY in October 2017.

TIL EY Has Commoditized Space

Is there any limit to the robust and ever-growing suite of services offered by professional services firms? Apparently not. As we’ll learn in a sec, not even the sky is the limit.
