Yesterday NASBA released scores for Core CPA exam sections taken from October 1 – December 26, 2024, the last group of scores for sections taken last year. Let’s check out the numbers:

CPA exam scores processed for October 1 – December 26, 2024:

  • AUD: 8,766

There were four score releases for Core sections in 2024: May 29 (for sections taken between and January 10 – March 26), July 31 (April 1 – June 25), October 31 (July 1 – September 25), and January 29 for the final testing batch of 2024 discussed above. This means we can crunch the numbers on roughly how many Core sections were taken in 2024 based on the numbers NASBA put out. We did a similar look at the numbers for the discipline sections back in September.

Should we do international scores while we’re here and have the calculator app open? Let’s.

This data doesn’t really help us figure out how many people sat for the exam as it only tells us how many sections were taken. For that number we’ll have to wait for the next AICPA Trends report which should be coming out this year. For the most recent Trends report data you can check out No One Will Be Surprised to Hear CPA Exam Candidate Numbers Are Down in Every Way the Numbers Can Be from October 2023.

The 2025 report will not reflect last year’s opening of three CPA exam testing centers in the Philippines. That should pump the numbers up slightly in 2027’s.
