Chuck Schumer Has Been Waiting Out This Bad Marriage a While

As more and more Republican lawmakers say they are willing to break the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, Chuckles can't help but think that the time has come:

“For three decades a right-wing lobbyist has exercised a stranglehold on Republican lawmakers,” Schumer said on the floor Tuesday. “Today one Republican after another have been rebuking this lobbyist.  “They no longer want to be married to this pledge — they’re saying they want a divorce from Grover Norquist."
It's not just that he thinks higher taxes are the best solution to a deal on the fiscal cliff; he really didn't appreciate that crack about the Nazis.
