Cherry Bekaert Poaches Someone From PwC and Issues a Press Release, Part I

Another PwCer is on the move, as a former tax director in personal financial services has been hired to make it rain at Cherry Bekaert.

Growth-focused and nationally acclaimed public accounting firm Cherry Bekaert LLP is proud to welcome Michael B. Vidal, CPA, JD, as a Tax Partner based in Cherry Bekaert’s South Florida practice.

As a member of the Firm’s Private Client Services group, Michael manages intricate high-net-worth client relationships involving individual, trust, partnership, corporate and tax-exempt tax planning and compliance. He specializes in providing estate, gift and trust guidance along with sophisticated tax, wealth preservation and retirement planning strategies.

“Michael’s diverse background is a perfect fit for our client’s needs,” noted David Appel, Managing Partner of the Firm’s South Florida practice. “His experience in working with closely-held and family-owned businesses to develop and implement efficient tax strategies will be of great value to our clients planning for the successful transition or sale of their business.”

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Michael worked for a Big Four accounting firm in the personal financial services practice.

That Big 4 firm, as previously mentioned, was Papa Whiskey Charlie where he worked for more than 11 years in its Miami office, according to Vidal’s LinkedIn profile.

But remember, you guys, nobody wants to leave PwC because of its culture, it leads with its heart, it’s caring, yada yada yada.
