An Accounting Firm Is Hiring an Honest-to-God Actor to Perform in a Client Onboarding Video

Googling “accounting firm” as I do each and every day multiple times a day in the hopes today is the day that something interesting happens in the accounting profession, I came across this ad looking for an actor to serve as “accounting firm spokesperson” in a client onboarding production.

Anyone wanna make $75 an hour? Surely it’s more than most of you are making now.

The ad also includes what appears to be the script should any rival accounting firms want to steal this client onboarding for themselves.

Hello and welcome to our accounting firm! We are so glad to have you as a new client and we are excited to work with you.

Before we get started, let me tell you a little bit about our firm. We are a team of accountants who are known for our love of numbers and spreadsheets (and maybe even a little bit of organized chaos). Don’t worry, we promise not to bore you with too many details about debits and credits.

Now, let’s get started. I will need you to provide us with all of your financial documentation. We have a secure client portal where you can upload all of your bank statements, receipts, invoices, and any other relevant records. This will help us get a better understanding of your financial situation and allow us to provide the best possible service to you (and finally satisfy our inner number nerds).

Next, we will need to set up a system for ongoing communication. This can be done through email, phone, or in-person meetings, whichever works best for you. It’s important that we stay in touch on a regular basis so that we can address any questions or concerns you may have (or just chat about the latest accounting memes).

Finally, I wanted to let you know about our billing process. We will send invoices on a monthly basis and we accept payment through check, credit card, or direct deposit. If you have any questions about your invoice, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us (but please don’t ask us to explain it in terms of emojis).

Thank you again for choosing our firm to assist you with your accounting needs. We look forward to working with you and helping you reach your financial goals (while keeping things light and fun). If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Cut Canvas Creative is based in San Francisco and the ad says local accounting firm soooo…anyone want to speculate about which firm it could be?
