Advice for contacting Chief Audit Executive?

I am currently in the search for new jobs, in hopes of cutting the ridiculous amount of travel that I am currently doing with Big 4.

I was referred to the Chief Audit Executive for a local company by a partner I know at a mid-tier firm for an internal audit position. The partner sent an email to both CAE and me as an "introduction" and suggested that I contact CAE to set up an in-person introduction.

It should also be noted that I already have a phone interview set up with said company. I do not believe CAE and partner are aware of the phone interview.

Since it is very imporant that I use my words carefully in this type of communication, can you guys provide any advice or tips for what I should say in my initial email to the CAE?
