2021 Accounting Internship Programs, Ranked

Hey wannabe public accountants, Vault today released its ranking of the best accounting firms for interns in 2021, and of the 15 firms included, two are in the Big 4 while five others are among the top 15 largest firms in the U.S.

More than 11,000 current and former interns were surveyed earlier this summer and were asked to rate their internship experiences (10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest) in six areas:

  • Quality of life
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Interview process
  • Career development
  • Full-time employment prospects
  • Diversity

Based on the results of the survey, here are the 15 accounting firms that Vault has determined offer the best internship programs for the profession’s future hot shots (2020 ranking in parenthesis):

Vault also released its ranking of the 50 most prestigious internships and the 100 best internships—and both have PA representation.

If your firm wasn’t ranked, it’s most likely because the interns weren’t forced to take the survey. So don’t worry RSM, Crowe, CLA, Baker Tilly, Marcum, and the like. I’m sure your summer and winter internship programs are just fine … probably.
