On Monday afternoon an employee of Brown, Brown and Associates, an accounting firm on Main Street in Springfield, TN, decided to bring an explosive device to the office “to show around.” Actual explosives. The news didn’t say what exactly the device was, only that the man “reportedly found multiple explosives in an old house he was cleaning out and brought one of them into work to display.”
“I was with a client, and a police officer came and knocked on my salon door and just informed me that there was an explosive device,” said a woman who works at the hair salon across the street from the firm to local WSMV 4. “My first reaction was, ‘Do we need to leave?’ The officer informed me that they had it completely under control. It’s a little shocking that that would happen. But crazy things happen in crazy places.” You mean like accounting firms?
The highway patrol came out and removed the explosive. No word on what happened to the man, with the accountant shortage being what it is he’s probably fine.
