Reminder: Voting on AICPA-CIMA Merger Ends Tomorrow

This hit my inbox today via an AICPA newsletter:

Voting closes tomorrow
We're in the final hours. Voting on the AICPA member ballot closes tomorrow, June 16, at 5 p.m. ET. If you haven't done so already, I strongly encourage you to take just a minute to vote. We have so much to be proud of as a profession, and this is our opportunity to extend our strength and relevance far into the future. It is the clear next step for us, and I urge your support. If you don't have your ballot email from "AICPA Independent Tabulator" available, visit www.directvote.net/aicpa to retrieve your voting credentials. For more information on the proposal, visit aicpa.org/horizons.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually excited to know the results. Not because I care either way, but I love it when people vote on contentious things. It's the campaigning I can't stand.

Can you imagine if we would've had to endure endure any TV ads for this? "I'M BARRY MELANCON AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE BECAUSE CHANGE IS CHANGE. AND CHANGE MEANS CHANGE."

Because we've debated this to death, I'm mostly curious about hearing how you think the vote will pan out. Will it be close? A landslide either way? Throw out your best prediction.
