Promotion Watch ’12: Grant Thornton Admits 27 New Partners

The word from the Purple Rose of Chicago was just handed down this morning from Stephen Chipman, at least that's what we hear. Oh wait, no, we know for sure, here's the email:

Dear colleagues,

One of my greatest pleasures as CEO of Grant Thornton is the opportunity I have every year to announce our firm’s new admissions into the partnership. I believe these promotions are one of the highest and most visible demonstrations of responsible stewardship, and a clear indication that we are committed to elevating talented men and women into strategic leadership positions.

Our firm’s growth, and that of the clients we serve, is fundamentally based on the quality of our people. It is our commitment and investment in developing talent and identifying new leaders that will lead to even greater growth and success.

The individuals we are announcing today have clearly demonstrated their dedication to this firm, to their colleagues, to the profession and to their communities. They embody our principles of collaboration, leadership, professional excellence, agility, responsibility and respect. I am confident that they will help drive Grant Thornton forward as the firm of choice for dynamic organizations.

Please join me in congratulating each of these individuals and wishing them continued success at Grant Thornton.

Stephen

That's 4 in Advisory, 14 in Audit and 9 in Tax; 23 men and 4 women. Let's give them all a nice round of applause.

Now, business must be absolutely booming over there as this year's partner promotions are a full ONE partner more than last year's. Great job, guys (and gals)!
