It's New Year's Eve in the KPMG universe today and we have a flood of tips telling us that the firm started compensation discussions in earnest on Monday.
Here's a sample:
KPMG compensation conversations (whew, that's a mouthful) started yesterday 9/28.
Another just wanted to send us an FYI:
KPMG comp thread should be started btw
Then there's the polite:
Please add a KPMG comp discussion page.
And the confused:
Am I just not looking in the right place? Numbers were initially released in tax yesterday and should be distributed by Wednesday.
No, you're definitely in the right place.
I always get a little nostalgic when the KPMG Komp thread goes up. Since I used to work at the venerable House of Klynveld, I know that the feeling of excitement and anticipation followed by crushing disappointment is a special kind of emotional roller coaster. I feel for you all. Especially after one tipster shared this:
[W]hat I'm hearing from others is that they are unsatisfied (as usual) but this year it was expected.
As reference, a M2 got promoted to SM this year (1 rated) and got a smaller % raise and bonus than last year as a M1 without promote. Not a good sign for the rest of us.
Eek. Anyway, some of you are anxious so let's get this party started. As always, we provide a guideline for participants to follow to keep everyone happy:
- City (region is not informative) & Line of Service
- Promotion (if applicable) & Rating
- % Raise
- % Bonus (if any)
- Optional: Old & New Base
Keep kool, KPMG Kaptains of Kapital.
