  1. Simple, very simple. The extra educational requirements, the lack of emphasis on higher level math and finance, the online CPA exam. The constant worship of big firms and their so called partners. The promotion of a code of ethic where particularly big firm are not held accountable. The discounting of small firms and their experience. All of it contributed to decline of the profession.
