F in the chat for PwC’s 2026 interns, who will not be experiencing the magic of Disney like so many intern classes before them. PwC informed interns back in January that there would be no Impact this year, or possibly ever again. Man, current day really does suck doesn’t it. Supposedly interns will still be getting a little something, just not a fabulous trip to the House of Mouse with all their little colleagues.
The firm put out a press release way back in 2011 when announcing a “a high energy, unforgettable experience” in Orlando for some 2,400 interns and it’s been a whole thing ever since. Here’s a guy who made an 8-minute video about his experience in 2024:
It was nice while it lasted, we suppose.

Gotta pay for all that AI…
I went there back when I was an intern in 2007! A room at the Grand Floridian? Never gonna see the inside of that place again. Bummer for all.
All that is missing from the narrative is WHY the change?
PWC has been sending all its interns to Disney World at the end of the Summer since the merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand back in 1998. We are witnessing the downfall of the accounting profession, one little (or big) thing at a time. Many might consider this particular cost cutting decision a little thing, but its sending a huge message to all the staff, and potential future staff.
