Grant Thornton Gives the All Clear After “Insect Issue” at Downtown Office

This is from earlier in the week and there's no official word about the pest in question but our tipster insists that it was edbugsbay:

It was brought to our attention yesterday that there was a potential insect issue in a small location on the 24th floor of our 60 Broad Street Office.  We took immediate action and had Assured Environments, a full-service integrated pest management firm, inspect our entire Downtown Office.  The exterminator stated that  a very small area on the 24th floor required attention.  We are acting on this promptly and cleaning the infected area this evening – the treatment is heat, non-toxic chemicals and high powered vacuum cleaning of the area.

We have asked the employees near the impacted area to leave the office early today.  The exterminator informed us that the area will be completely safe after tonight’s treatment — their products/procedures meet all environmental standards.  The Downtown Office will be open for regular business hours on Thursday morning.
Anyone client-serving professionals working on 24 are advised to make up the hours lost this weekend (if you didn't do it yesterday or at home).
