Let’s Enjoy a New Batch of Disgruntled 1-Star Reviews From Employees of Firms on the Vault Accounting 50 (2021)

On Vault Accounting 50 Day, Caleb used to delight in going through all the one-star employee reviews on Vault and highlighting some of the most cringeworthy, sad, and negative written about accounting firms. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can click here and here.

In my article on the 2020 Vault Accounting 50 I wrote last year, I included some pros and cons of working at the firms in the top 10, based on employee reviews, which included some one- and two-star ones.

So because the 2021 Vault Accounting 50 was released today, I thought I’d continue tradition and share with you guys some of the most bitter, disgruntled one-star employee reviews from this year and last year.

Here are a few people who don’t agree that PwC is the No. 1 accounting firm in the U.S.:Here’s a KPMGer paying homage to the firm’s scandal with the PCAOB:

We couldn’t imagine anyone saying anything bad about working at Plante Moran, but this person had a lot to get off their chest:

One person has a warning about the high turnover at Mazars USA:Here’s a one-word title somebody used to describe working at Moss Adams:There are also some pretty good one-star reviews masquerading as two-star reviews. I’ll go through them later and pick out some good ones. Until then, have some fun roaming around the reviews on Vault.
