This according to what the Department of War put up yesterday:
Ernst & Young LLP, New York, New York, is being awarded a labor-hour contract with a maximum value of $989,996,050 for audit services of the Department of War of Inspector General Audits of the Department of War agency-wide consolidated financial statements fiscal 2027-2031. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C.; and other locations within and outside the continental U.S., with an expected completion date of March 31, 2032.
The Department of War broke up with KPMG earlier this year and we guessed at that time they’d give EY a look since in 2024, EY gave the Marines something no other military branch had ever gotten before: an unmodified audit opinion. Lo and behold, they did.
