Shoutout to the person who sent us a link to this, might have slipped past the ol’ radar otherwise: Plante Moran bought itself a 500-person Mexican firm called JA Del Río. The disappointing part here is that they dropped the press release today, May 6, and not the day before.

Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest and most reputable audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms, announces Mexico-based JA Del Río will join the firm July 1. The milestone represents Plante Moran’s largest international expansion to date, part of a strategy to enhance its global presence across Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Founded in 1988 in Guadalajara, Mexico, JA Del Río is known for its substantial experience in audit, tax, and consulting services. Serving clients across five continents, the firm helps global businesses navigate international trade, tax, risk, and business growth with certainty and clarity.

JA Del Río has staff operating out of Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica.

“After having a presence in Mexico for nearly 20 years, we’re excited to expand Plante Moran’s presence in Latin America by welcoming JA Del Río into our firm,” said Plante Moran managing partner Jason Drake in the obligatory press release quote. “The firm’s values align with ours, with a focus on delivering high-quality client service, technical excellence, and deep expertise across industries and borders. JA Del Río has been a trusted collaborator of ours for years, and their addition marks an important step forward in our international growth.”

The union is effective July 1.
