At around 6:30 pm tonight, a man later identified as 27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura from Las Vegas, double-parked a BMW, entered 345 Park Ave in New York City — the office building housing companies like the NFL, Blackstone, and KPMG — brandishing a gun with one hand, opened fire in the lobby, and made his way to the 33rd floor. Four people are confirmed dead as of publication time, including one off-duty police officer.

As far as we’re aware, KPMG’s people are OK but understandably rattled by the incident. It is unknown at this time who or what the gunman was targeting.

Around 7pm, X user @nashvegas__ posted this video of dozens of police entering the building:

The suspect is said to have died by suicide.

KPMG issued the following statement to media this evening: “Our hearts go out to the victims of this horrific act and their families. We are incredibly grateful for the bravery of building security and law enforcement.” We’ve reached out to KPMG directly as well.
