PKF O’Connor Davies Poaches Someone From EY and Issues a Press Release, Part I

If public accounting had a transactions wire, much like you see for Major League Baseball, it might look something like this for PKF O’Connor Davies’ newest transaction advisory services (TAS) partner:

PKF O’Connor Davies acquired Andrew Suh from Ernst & Young for a CPA to be named later.

Andrew Suh

OK, trades don’t happen among public accounting firms, but it’s fun to think about. Like if EY sent Suh down to the minor leagues of public accounting for assignment, and that assignment happened to be at PKF O’Connor Davies.

PKF is ranked 29th in INSIDE Public Accounting’s most recent top 100 list, so would they be considered Triple-A? High Double-A?

Anyway, back to Suh. Here’s what it might say on the back of his baseball card:

Suh has more than 14 years of experience in providing buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory services with a special focus on due diligence (accounting, financial, tax), purchase agreement vetting, closing, and post-deal assistance. He has worked on more than 150 transactions for a wide range of clients including corporations, private equity investors, and their portfolio companies. He brings significant software and technology expertise to the Firm, with extensive knowledge of specific metrics such as recurring revenue streams, customer and user churn, bookings momentum, and customer acquisition costs.

Suh has worked on deals ranging in value from $5 million to $2 billion across the technology, media and entertainment, telecommunications, life sciences, healthcare, business services, and consumer products industries. In addition, he has advised on a number of cross-border transactions involving Canadian, Australian, South American, European, and Asian entities. Previously in his career, he also served as CFO of a private equity-backed technology company in Australia, which he guided through multiple acquisitions and a successful exit for the private equity sponsors and management shareholders. Suh is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Suh had two stints with EY: one from 2006 to 2012, and another as a senior manager in TAS from 2018 to 2019. As a public accounting free agent, he signed a contract with KPMG in 2016, where he worked in the Deal Advisory group until bolting for EY two years later.
