PwC Admits 212 New Partners and Principals in U.S.

I think this year’s new PwC partners should feel extra special on their day of recognition because it also happens to be National Doughnut Day. Even if you NEVER eat doughnuts, I think you can forgo discipline for the day the world learns that you’ve become a partner at PwC.

This marks the second year where PwC publicly announced the class and threw their gorgeous smiles (and a few frowns) on their website. I think the days of Going Concern dumping the list in these pages FIRST are officially over, and that’s fine. The rest of the Big 4 will come around before their New York offices are under water. Until then, you can still send us the list when it comes out.

This PwC class isn’t as big as 2016’s 226, but it’s still the second largest since we’ve been reporting on partner promotions. A quick refresher: There were 201 partners in the 2015 class, 180 in 2014, 157 in 2013, 165 in 2012, 136 in 2011, and 83 in 2010.

Seriously, though, congrats to all the new partners. It’s a huge milestone. I’m sure of these new PwC partners have been reading Going Concern long enough to remember when they thought being a partner was an awful idea. And now that you are partners, don’t work so hard that you don’t have time to stop by now and then or every day, whatever your schedule will allow.
