It’s official: EY is taking two floors (45,000 sq ft) at the Queensbridge Collective (QBC) building at 1111 South Tryon on the edge of Charlotte, North Carolina’s Uptown district and moving from their current spot at Bank of America Corporate Center at 100 N. Tryon when it’s ready for them. The WIP future office offers “a collaborative environment with a modern physical and technological design,” per EY Charlotte OMP Michael O’Leary.

Here’s how the QBC website describes the digs:

1111 South Tryon is a best-in-class highrise trophy office tower that will deliver contemporary architecture with floor
plates [sic?] that meet the precise needs of tomorrow’s office space. This includes column-free, rectilinear lease spans with
ideal core-to-glass dimensions, landlord-provided privacy bathrooms, wellness rooms, and more. QBC also offers over 409
luxury rental residences and over 30,000 SF of dynamic retail space located on the ground level and level 10 connected
to the outdoor amenity space above the podium.

According to Axion, developers Riverside Investment & Development will be reducing the number of planned apartments in the development to make room for all the office space. EY’s neighbors will include Charlotte law firm Moore & Van Allen, California insurance company Pacific Life, and private equity firm Pamilco Capital.

EY has about 2,000 people working in Charlotte currently.

  1. “EY has about 2,000 people working in Charlotte currently.” Actually, the Axios article says they employ about 2k people in the REGION, which presumably includes the Raleigh and Greenville offices, and maybe more client locations.
