Ok folks, so here's my dilemma. I've always taken time to get some sort of small appreciative Christmas gift for my employees. This was much easier in public because I knew what kinds of things my staff would want. Now though, I have a department of middle-aged and older women who work for me, and I've no idea what kind of nice gift might be appropriate. Google tells me the usual, coffee mugs, ear phones, candles, etc. The candle thing is probably the best idea I can come up with, because who doesn't like a nice candle? But I'm not thrilled with that idea just because it seems generic. Anyone out there have any thoughts on reasonable gifts for these types of employees? Cookies/candies are out too because they're all on perpetual diets right now.
