Mo’ Money Taxes Founder Won’t Let Mo’ Problems Keep Him From Serving Clients

Somehow we missed the saga of Mo' Money Taxes.

Here are a few stories that should get you up to speed on some of the haps at Mo' Money:

Oh, and there was also an IRS raid in April but Granberry says it wasn't so much a raid as it was him inviting the IRS over.

Well, it appears Markey Granberry is pressing on by formally announcing a new tax preparation venture that shall rise from the ashes of Mo' Money Taxes like a phoenix with a gold chain around its neck: Marqui$ Taxe$ (because you can always trust a business with dollar signs in its name).

In the video that announces his new project, Granberry is hounded by a couple of fake media guys – one of whom was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor after posting a picture of a child under 5 years old performing a sex act on an adult male – who tell him "Markey, we’re going to be on you every chance we get!"

Granberry responds:

I know ’cause we the kings of the tax business why wouldn’t y’all be!

“The issues of delays and check issues were never the fault of Mo’ Money Taxes/MoneyCo USA," Granberry told Memphis' WREG in an email. "Thus far, no charges have been filed against no one regarding issues of last year, and we are looking forward to Marquis Taxes being a success.”

Granberry filed for creation of a new limited liability company called Next Day Dollar LLC with the Tennessee Secretary of State's Office on Oct. 31.

And now, for your viewing pleasure, the video. If you're in Memphis, you can head on over to Marquis Taxes (next to "Chucky Cheese") in 2013.
