BDO

Stefan Beyers joined BDO UK’s financial services team as an audit partner. He has a boatload of experience in audit and advisory engagements for banking and capital markets clients. He previously worked at PwC for 19 years, most recently as a partner in banking and capital markets based in South Africa. [BDO/LinkedIn]

Cherry Cromarty joined BDO UK as a partner in the risk advisory services team. She will be tasked with helping to grow BDO’s internal audit and risk services offering, with a focus on the retail and consumer sectors. Cromarty left PwC after spending more than 11 years at the firm, most recently as a director. [BDO/LinkedIn]

Rocco Galletto joined the partnership at BDO Canada and took over as head of the firm’s national cybersecurity practice. Galletto joined BDO from Deloitte, where he spent eight years and was a partner focusing on engagements in identity and access management, risk assessment, security operations, and security information and event management. Matthew Haverson joined BDO UK as a partner in the technology and media team and will be based in London. He previously spent 11 years at PwC, most recently as an assurance director. [BDO/LinkedIn]

Ros Payne joined the Thames Valley team at BDO UK as a tax partner. She arrived to BDO from EY, where she was an associate partner in the international tax practice at EY in the UK. She also previously worked at Grant Thornton and PwC. [Consultancy.uk]

David Perry joined BDO UK as an audit partner, with a focus on businesses operating in the betting, gaming, and hospitality sector. He will be based in London. Perry had spent his entire career at Deloitte, most recently as a director. [BDO/LinkedIn]

BKD

Jeremy Goss boomeranged back to BKD as a financial services partner in the New York office. He has spent more than 15 years serving public and private banks, credit unions, financial technology, specialty finance, private equity, and investment companies. Goss began his career with BKD in the firm’s office in Little Rock, AR, where he spent 10 years and rose through the ranks from a staff accountant to a senior manager. He then joined Grant Thornton where he spent the last eight years providing audit and advisory services to public and private financial institutions, real estate investment trusts, digital asset companies, private equity, and specialty finance entities. CohnReznick

James Maurer joined CohnReznick in Chicago as an assurance partner in its Consumer & Industrial Industry practice. He has a ton of experience in industrial manufacturing, consumer products, and wholesale distribution, along with transportation and logistics, and Maurer has advised both public and private companies in key areas such as strategic planning, due diligence, and process improvement. Maurer previously worked at Grant Thornton for 25 years, most recently as the Purple Rose of Chicago’s global head of consumer and industrial products. [CohnReznick/LinkedIn]

Alan Solarz joined CohnReznick’s National Tax practice in New York as a managing director. He has more than 35 years of experience as a transactional tax lawyer and tax advisor, specializing in tax consulting services to real estate funds, public and private companies, family offices, real estate investment trusts, joint ventures, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships. Crowe

Emma Locken was appointed corporate tax partner at Crowe UK. She joined the firm from PwC where she was a tax director and has more than 15 years’ experience advising UK and multinational businesses on their direct tax obligations. [Accountancy Daily]

Dixon Hughes Goodman

Lucie Wuescher joined DHG as a principal in the firm’s national advisory practice. She is based in Austin, TX. Wuescher has nearly 25 years of experience in public accounting, managing large-scale internal audit and compliance-related teams. Prior to arriving at DHG, Wuescher was a managing director at KPMG and has served clients in internal audit, enterprise risk, compliance, and consulting roles. EisnerAmper

William Burns joined EisnerAmper as a tax partner based in Philadelphia. He has more than 25 years of public accounting experience providing tax compliance, planning, consulting and services for investment groups, real estate developers, real estate funds, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, service organizations and international business entities. Grant Thornton

Jill Hay was appointed tax partner at Grant Thornton in Scotland. She brings more than 20 years of experience and will head up a tax team of 35 GTers who provide tax advice to a wide variety of clients. Alex Parry joined the north west corporate finance team at Grant Thornton UK as an assistant manager. After graduating she spent the previous five years at PwC, most recently as a senior associate. [Accountancy Daily/LinkedIn]

Andrea Schulz joined Grant Thornton’s Silicon Valley office as a technology audit partner. She will work with venture capital-backed technology companies going through the SPAC process or engaging in IPOs. She will also focus on helping clients in the SaaS space. Schulz began her career in audit at KPMG in 2004 and held various leadership roles at the firm over the next 16 years. She also managed KPMG’s shared services center in Bangalore, India, for a year, before moving to the firm’s Silicon Valley office in 2011. [Grant Thornton]

RSM

Amy Shumate joined RSM Canada as a partner and leader of its US tax offering within its international tax practice. In her new role, Shumate will lead a team that advises Canadian mid-market clients on US tax compliance. She previously spent eight years at EY Canada as a senior manager in the US tax practice, and prior to that, Shumate spent nine years at Deloitte Canada, where she was a senior manager in the US tax practice. Greg Thomas joined RubinBrown as a partner in national tax based in Denver.
