A CPA firm is seeking a Director of Technology and Training to create, implement and maintain comprehensive training programs that train their CPAs and support staff in best practices and efficient usage of software and templates.

Full time, W2
Location: REMOTE within the US
Compensation: $95,000- $115,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain training programs for accountants, senior accountants, and
- managers.
- Create lesson plans using e-learning software.
- Conduct in person, live training sessions periodically.
- Establish a training protocol and implement it companywide.
- Update Engagement Tasks to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with teams to develop solutions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and modify as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in accounting and tax.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external software vendors.
- Ensure all employees are receiving the required training.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee development and career advancement programs.
- Develop and maintain training records and reports.
- Explain data to supervisor team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education, accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tax and accounting with a focus on learning and development.
- Fast learner of new software, able to navigate quickly and find common features.
- Strong knowledge of basic tax laws and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Professional certification in training, accounting, or tax is a plus.
Requirements:
- Annual/Periodic travel to continuing education conferences or to host team on-site training
events. Otherwise, you’ll be working remotely from the comfort of your home office. - You must have a dedicated, private room with high speed internet access.
