Opportunity #1: Tax Senior Associate – Los Angeles (URGENT)

• Compensation:  $55 – $70 per hour
  Location:  Los Angeles (Open to part remote, part on-site)
  Duration:  2-3 months (with potential to extend into busy season if desired)
  Required Experience: 2.5+ years’ tax experience in public accounting

A top 10 international firm in Los Angeles (El Segundo area) needs a tax senior associate to assist with corporate, partnership, and individual tax return preparation, as soon as possible. They work with a good deal of entertainment clients in the L.A. office, so who knows, you may wind up doing a tax return for your favorite sitcom star.

This innovative firm is open to contract to hire as well, as they are experiencing substantial growth.

If you have experience performing tax returns and want to cash in over the next couple months, this project is for you.

Qualifications:

• 2.5+ years of tax public accounting experience
• No more than four years since last busy season
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.  MS in taxation preferred.
• Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

Opportunity #2: Technical Accounting Guru – ASC 605 and/or ASC 606 – Atlanta (Potentially Open to Travel, multiple needs)

• Compensation:  $65 – $90 per hour
  Location:  Travel to Atlanta
  Duration:  2-3 months (with potential to extend)
  Required experience: Experience auditing or advising clients on revenue recognition

Our client is implementing ASC 606 for a healthcare solutions provider, and needs 3-4 consultants with a strong revenue recognition background to assist. They’re willing to foot the bill on any necessary travel expenses, so this project is open to anyone with rev rec experience on a nationwide basis!

Here’s a quick run-down on the project:

An initial assessment has been completed, but assumptions have not been verified via contract review. We need technical accountants to review and document multiple contracts in effort to finalize new revenue assertions under ASC 606.

This is a great opportunity for someone with general rev rec experience, looking to apply the 5 step model of ASC 606 in a real world scenario. ASC 606 is in high-demand, and once you’ve helped with implementing, your market value should skyrocket.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years accounting experience (public experience preferred, not required)
